Privacy notice: Polity website
Last updated: 21 October 2026.
1. Who is responsible
This website is published by Polity ("we", "us"). The operator's legal name and address are not yet published on this site. We will name the operator before this site collects any personal data directly from you, such as an email address. Technical data is already processed when you visit; section 3 explains it.
2. What this covers
This website only. The site has no forms, accounts, signups, analytics or cookies, uses no browser storage, and does not ask you for any information. It does not collect email addresses: there is no mailing list or early-access list yet. Visiting it does involve the technical data described in section 3.
3. Technical data processed when you visit
When you visit this site, Vercel Inc. ("Vercel"), the company that hosts and serves it, processes your IP address, your browser and device details (user agent), the address of the page requested and the time of the request. This is done to deliver the page to you and to protect the site from abuse and attacks.
We chose to have the site hosted and served by Vercel. Vercel's own role in handling this data, including its logs and security processing, is set out in its own terms and privacy policy. How long the data is kept is determined by Vercel's configuration and terms, and Vercel may process it outside your country. Where UK or EU data-protection law applies, the lawful basis for this processing is legitimate interests: delivering the site and keeping it secure. We do not use this data to identify anyone, and we do not sell it or share it for advertising.
Vercel's Web Analytics and Speed Insights features are switched off for this site. The site uses no analytics or trackers and loads no scripts, fonts or images from any other company: everything it loads comes from this site itself.
4. Links to other sites
The site links only to our profile on X (@polity_hq). Nothing loads from X until you click; X's policies apply there.
5. The Polity product
Polity runs inside Claude Code on your own computer; this site only describes it, and it is not yet available. Before the starter is released, we will state here what, if anything, it sends to us. Running locally does not mean your work stays on your device: anything an agent reads or writes goes to the model provider behind Claude Code, and to any tools you connect, under their terms.
6. When the early-access list opens
When we open an early-access list, this notice will be replaced before any email address is collected, and the operator will be named.
7. Your rights and contact
The visit data in section 3 is processed by Vercel under its terms; we do not use it to look up individual visitors. Where UK or EU law applies, you can ask us about the processing described in section 3 and object to it, and we will tell you what we can and cannot do. Ask us anything, or raise a concern, by message or mention on X: https://x.com/polity_hq. We publish no email address yet. You may also complain to a data-protection authority; for example, in the UK, the ICO (ico.org.uk).
8. Changes
We will publish a new version, dated, before any significant change takes effect: collecting personal data directly from you, adding analytics or cookies, changing the company that hosts the site, a new operator, or a company taking over the site.
